It's official: I am on the ballot for the Sept. 14th Democratic Primary for State Senate. This milestone was made possible by 12,000 people like you who signed my petition, and I sincerely thank you. Now the real work begins.
Reforming the broken system in Albany will be no easy task. Our state government--by some measures the worst in the nation--is simply not delivering for average New Yorkers. Our campaign for progressive change is taking on a status quo which won't give up power easily. Bringing reform to Albany means making tough choices that are inconvenient for entrenched politicians. In order to solve the problems that plague our state I need your help today. My campaign is not relying on contributions from lobbyists and special interests, we're relying on you to fuel our grassroots movement. Will you consider making a contribution of $25, $50, $100 or $250 today? We have another filing deadline coming up on August 9th and your support before that date would ensure our reform agenda makes it to Albany.
I am thrilled to report that we are gaining more momentum by the day.
