The American Academy of Arts & Sciences and New York University invite you to a special joint program on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 6:00 PM on "THE UNIVERSITY AND THE CITY", an examination of the role that major research universities play in revitalizing America's urban centers.
The featured speakers are: John Sexton, President, New York University; Robert M. Berdahl, President, Association of American Universities; Jared L. Cohon, President, Carnegie Mellon University; and Ruth J. Simmons, President, Brown University; with an introduction by Leslie C. Berlowitz, President, American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
The program begins at 6:00 PM in the NYU School of Law, Vanderbilt Hall, Tishman Auditorium, 40 Washington Square South. A reception will immediately follow the program.
