AN ATTORNEY TO DIE FOR?

j0423044.jpgThomas J. Moran, Jr., an attorney admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, was indicted by the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey for "conspiracy to travel to aide a racketeering enterprise" and "travel in aide of racketeering enterprises [two counts]."

Moran also allegedly participated in a plot to murder a witness in a pending New Jersey criminal case.

After the New Jersey Supreme Court temporarily suspended his New Jersey law license, because it believed he posed "an immediate and substantial threat of serious harm to clients and the public," the Appellate Division, Third Department, granted a local disciplinary committee's request to suspend Moran's New York license.

Was that a Moranic thing to do?
