The Cinema Against AIDS series was launched in 1993 at the Cannes Film Festival and later expanded to include events at the Dubai, RomE, Sundance, and Venice Film Festivals.  Sustained by the film community's generosity and commitment to the fight against AIDS, Cinema Against AIDS has increased public awareness of the epidemic and has raised more than $44 million for amfAR's pioneering AIDS research programs.
