The United States Supreme Court has reversed the Second Circuit's decision in the Lopez-Torres case.
Incredibly, our nation's highest court has acknowledged that "'smoke-filled rooms' and domination by party leaders, have long been an accepted manner of selecting party candidates."
Unfortunately, by refusing to address this "morass," the power of the "party bosses" has been preserved, and the people's ability to select judicial candidates for election, further stifled.
So much for democracy and democratic principles.
