Earlier this afternoon, I received a voicemail message from the Bronx Democratic County Committee (BDCC).
After bashing them on this blog for sponsoring a "women only" luncheon honoring Hillary Clinton, Christine Quinn, and Lorraine Cortes-Vasquez, someone identifying herself as "Arlene" wanted to know if I was interested in attending the November 4th event.
Looks like they've had a change of heart over at the BDCC and are opening the function to men (or are in dire need of our cash).
Here's a transcript of the message I received:
12:54 PM: Hi, this is Arlene calling from the Bronx Democratic County Committee. We are hosting our annual women's luncheon honoring the accomplishments of Democratic women of the Bronx.
If you think you would be interested in attending the event or probably purchasing an advertisement, please call us back at 718-931-5200.
