Garodnik, like all Council members, should resign.

You don't strike me as a one note kind of guy, yet that's what your doing when it comes to your posts about the City Council candidates.
So he's pro tenant and supported the "tenant harassment law," which probably isn't kosher and will be found unconstitutional. Does that make him a bad guy?
Posted by: Richie | June 10, 2008 12:23 AM
No -- he's a good guy. The whole current Council, however, is tainted by the phantom earmarks business and their failure to rein in destructive overdevelopment that has ruined many neighborhoods and led to the construction of thousands of crappy buildings that will begin falling apart soon. (Read the Curbed and Queens Crap blogs to keep track of this phenomenon).
This city needs fresh political blood.
BTW, is anyone aware of any harassment cases being filed yet?
Posted by: Gines Pasamonte | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM
Yes. My firm is currently defending a landlord in a pending (civil) "harassment" case. Of course, we have challenged the constitutionality of the new law (Local Law 7).
Should the case not be settled, we'll let you know as soon as a decision is issued.

Thanks,
Keep us informed Lucas.

You man Dan IS in trouble for doling out earmarks to questionable groups.
Why throw good money after bad?
